Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…
Three decades after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, a new threat arises.
The First Order attempts to rule the galaxy and only a ragtag group of heroes
can stop them, along with the help of the Resistance.
The Force Awakens is the first film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. The film
is produced by J. J. Abrams, his long-time collaborator Bryan Burk, and
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. John Williams, composer for the previous
six films, returned to compose its score.
Critic Reviews:
- " It's both nostalgic and fresh, a tender homage to, especially, the
initial Star Wars (“Episode IV: A New Hope”), as well as a bridge to help
those of us stuck in the splendor of Hoth edge into the future. " –
Melissa Ruggieri
- " ‘The Force Awakens’ does what the original films did well – and
is also its own, thrilling thing. " –
Jason Bailey
- " Star Wars: The Force Awakens honors the series and takes it in
exciting new directions. Both The Millennium Falcon and millennials, it would
seem, are in good hands. " – Max Weiss
