A few of the paler flowers/leaves may have been easier to discern on a coloured background. Otherwise a useful reference, with great photos, logical organisation and an ideal level of content for kids (just 32 pages). Adults will likely learn lots of interesting facts too. It's lightweight, but its A4 size (necessary to show larger leaves) means it's perhaps not perfect to take with you on a tramp. I also have Andrew's Field Guide to Native Edible Plants of NZ, written for adults – which I can also recommend as an interesting read, although there are line drawings and fewer photos in that book.
